Operational Management Rotational Position

My client, Suominen (Windsor Locks, CT), a world leader in the nonwovens industry with US facilities also in Bethune, SC and Green Bay, WI, as well as international locations in Finland, Italy, Spain and Brazil, is looking to hire a Sourcing Coordinator.  This is a rotational position where one may initially spend 6-12 months in Windsor Locks and then similar time periods in the other US locations as well as communicate with the international locations to gain a greater understanding of the company, its manufacturing processes and total supply chain.  Reporting to the VP, Sourcing, this position will support the Global Sourcing Team by initially handling administrative duties related to functional activities and growing into category management..

This is an optimal opportunity for someone with a business, supply chain or operations management education and little, or no experience in sourcing (but a great desire to learn) to become part of a dynamic company in an ever-expanding and growing function – supply chain.  Entry-level positions of this nature, where one can learn and grow under the mentorship of experienced supply chain professionals, are very rare.  Coupled with that is the prospect for career advancement in sourcing, as well as other functional areas – operations, quality, manufacturing – etc. – all depending on the individual and his/her interests and capacity for development and advancement.
