Networking: Federal Contracting Business Seek Partnerships

To Whom It May Concern:

My friend and former colleague, Karen Clarke, referred me to NEAG.  I currently own a small Federal Contracting business that is struggling as a result of budget cuts and a new direction set forth by the new Administration.  As a result, I find myself either needing mentorship and/or partnerships with other businesses (both large and small) to sustain my firm or needing to go back out in the job market to be gainfully employed.  Here and attached are some more information about me and my capabilities.  I look forward to hearing from you on suggestions on how to navigate within the northeast job market.  Thank you for your help in advance!

I am the owner of the JLA Group which is an 8(a) certified, small disadvantaged (woman-owned, minority-owned) small business and GSA Schedule 736 for Temporary Administrative and Professional Staffing (TAPS) Services contract holder for contract administration services (Contract GS02F021GA). My firm is currently subcontracted to another small business to perform acquisition and technical support services at the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Office of National Laboratories. We have been offering operations management support to a New York-based $40M Program which includes project management, acquisition planning and execution, strategic planning, technical writing, and administrative and financial management support services for the past 8+ years at DHS.  Our approach has identified cost and schedule efficiencies, has blazed new ground with implementing earned value in a traditionally level of effort operation, and has culminated in the S&T Undersecretary Award for Outstanding Contractor Achievement, the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce Innovation & Performance Award,as well as several presentations to international peer groups on our customized earned value acquisition methodology.

Our firm also has a rich history within a multitude of commercial industries such as healthcare, pharmaceutical, financial services, and real estate.  Please find our capability statement attached.  I have provided my contact information below and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
