VP of Operations – Norwood/Sharon MA area


VP of Operations
Client is a well-established and very profitable, midsize, publicly held, equipment manufacturer.  The Vice President of Operations will oversee production, supply chain, logistics, quality and facilities, a total of approximately 50 people. This Vice President will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategic objectives including the development of the short and long range capital plans, management of key projects within these operations and ensuring projects are executed from concept to implementation.

·       oversee all aspects of order fulfillment
·       ensure customer responsiveness and satisfaction
·       focus on risk mitigation and continual improvement
·       develop metrics to measure, track and increase performance
·       oversee equipment and facilities maintenance programs
·       plan, schedule and manage all materials flow
·       oversee logistics ensuring timely and quality deliveries to customers
·       advocating lean empowerment techniques, mentor and train employees
·       as a member of the Sr. Management team, problem-solve, support, protect and grow the business as a whole
 
Credentials required
The candidate sought will bring the leadership, business acumen and energy to support the growth of this business. Working as part of the senior team, this candidate will understand the technology and equipment but will make the biggest impact through people, processes and systems.

·       BS degree
·       experience managing a 100M-500M low volume, customized equipment manufacturing operation overseeing production, supply chain, logistics, distribution, warehousing, facilities and maintenance departments
·       management of low volume, hi SKU custom equipment manufacturing operation
·       history of maintaining safe operating environment with showroom like appearance
·       demonstrated mechanical skills as measured by resolving equipment issues and designing solutions, electrical experience is a plus
·       experience designing and laying our floor plan for facility, developing work flows to increase efficiency
·       experience evaluating internal equipment for new opportunities and upgrades while effectively maintaining existing equipment
·       ERP implementation skills
·       significant complex distribution and multi-site warehousing logistics background
·       travel 10 to 15% within the United States
·       proven ability to manage a manufacturing operation through expansion and sales growth

Compensation:  a package reflecting the candidate’s skills and experience will include base and bonus potential.
