My client, Toner Plastics, East Longmeadow, MA, has an exciting opportunity for a sales executive – a sales hunter with high integrity and credibility, who is technically (engineering) astute.  Focused on growth, Toner Plastics is looking to hire a premier sales person who will have a direct and positive impact on the company’s success.

My client’s target customers include manufacturing companies that would use my client’s products as components in their assemblies.  Toner Plastics is a unique company in that it is one of four integrated plastics manufacturing companies – headquartered in East Longmeadow, MA with three sister companies:  S&E Specialty Polymers, The Beadery, and Modern Mold & Tool.  Here is an attractive opportunity to possibly cross-sell among four companies – not just one!  While sales may focus primarily on local and regional accounts, there is no restriction on territory.  

Position

The Sales Executive sells injection molded and extruded products to manufacturing companies specifically on behalf of two operations in different locations (Toner Plastics/East Longmeadow, MA and The Beadery/Hope Valley, Rhode Island).  In 2013, the Beadery launched its blockbuster Wonder Loom rubber band bracelet product line, sold at major retailers such as Wal-Mart – receiving recognition from Wal-Mart and the State of Massachusetts.  

Qualifications

While sales experience in the plastics industry would be ideal – the right attitude and aptitude reflected in one’s past sales achievements are critical.  Sales experience in manufacturing is key.  A fast learner who can come up to speed quickly.  A college degree is required – engineering degree preferred, but a business, marketing, or other technical degree will be considered.  Experience in setting up and running tradeshows from start to finish.  Computer proficient – skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.  Successful sales history in closing business deals ranging from $100K – $1 million with the ability to bring in at least $500K in new business annually.
