Procurement Manager Needed in Glastonbury, CT

Friends, here is a great local job opportunity from a CCSU alum.  See the job description below. Let’s see if we can get some responses to Curt. Thanks. Rick

The below job description is from our job posting on Indeed. As Ron mentioned we need more than 1 person, so a more junior candidate (a recent grad) would be considered also. A key attribute is a strong mechanical aptitude. To be successful in the role one needs to be able to quickly come up to speed with a thorough understanding of the power plant, the interaction of the components, and the components themselves. Of course the knowledge comes with time, but the basic aptitude and desire needs to be there from day one. The other key aspect of the job  (commercial expertise) is certainly more easily learned when the technical side comes naturally to an individual. I graduated from Central in the early days of the Industrial Technology program and it has been a good fit for me. A candidate from that major or one of the engineering majors would likely be best. Curt
