My client, Toner Plastics, East Longmeadow, MA, is looking to hire a Customer Service Representative.  

The Company

Inc.  Since 1989, Toner Plastics has been manufacturing extruded products to exact customer specifications with an uncompromising commitment to quality and customer service, and is currently a world leader in 3D printer filament products While the company has many of its own products that are found in the 3D printing, craft and toy markets, Toner Plastics focuses on manufacturing extruded products for industrial OEM customers.

The Position

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for tasks pertaining to customer service, as well as to the general operation of the office.  Primary responsibilities include: answering the phone, communicating with customers, and completing order entry tasks.  Secondary responsibilities include clerical work, e.g., filing, various administrative assistant tasks, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities

Order processing
·        Enter new customer orders into the MRP system
·        Distribute order documentation to shipping and production
·        Prepare shipping labels
·        Provide order confirmations to customers

Data entry & reporting
·        Run and distribute various reports
·        Enter records into the MS Access database
·        Maintain customer-specific documentation
·        Maintain various spreadsheet tools

Reception
·        Answer and direct phone calls
·        Greet visitors and maintain the visitor log
 
Other
·        Perform various administrative assistant tasks for management
·        Assume extra duties as needed when key personnel such as the Office Manager and Customer Service Manager are out of the office
·        Complete out of office errands (bank runs, parts pickups, etc.)
·        Various clerical tasks
·        Other duties as assigned

Requirements

The Customer Service Representative is an entry to mid-level position requiring:
·        Intermediate skills in the MS Office suite of programs
·        The ability to learn MRP software
·        Excellent customer service presence.  
·        High school degree; some college coursework preferred. 
·        A positive attitude
·        Excellent follow-up and organizational skills
·        The ability to work under pressure
·        The capacity to learn more and grow 

Candidates with more experience will receive preference, but acumen, ability, and attitude are the most sought-after attributes for this position.

The Position

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer, the Manufacturing Technician will have direct responsibility for the preventative maintenance and repair of production and/or facilities equipment.  Works collaboratively with Engineering on continuous improvement and process development activities.    

Responsibilities*

·        Works in a safe and responsible manner
·        Troubleshoots complex manufacturing equipment issues; troubleshoots facilities equipment (air compressors, chillers, etc.) 
·        Performs regular preventative maintenance 
·        Demonstrates basic electrical troubleshooting skills
·        Works closely with Engineering by supporting continuous improvement and new product development
·        Designs, fabricates, and modifies basic manufacturing equipment
·        Demonstrates basic machining (mill, lathe) knowledge
·        Provides after-hours support as needed

*Job responsibilities may be adjusted at the manager’s discretion.

Requirements

·        Comfortable and motivated to excel in a fast-paced, team-based environment with deadlines
·        Ability to learn new skills and expand technical knowledge
·        Ability to conceptualize and implement solutions to basic manufacturing problems
·        Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve independently
·        Ability to organize and prioritize work
·        Basic fabrication skills (turning, milling, welding, etc.)
·        Basic computer skills (email, MS Word)
·        Ability to adjust hours as needed
