Buyer/Planner Specialist
Responsible for planning, purchasing and expediting materials, components and services from existing and new suppliers worldwide.
· procurement of parts and assemblies
· assure the integrity of database with master production schedule
· negotiate prices terms and conditions
· develop RFQ’ s
· identify suppliers, qualify suppliers and monitor supplier performance
· participate in S&OP meetings
· optimize material conditions; lower aggregate inventory levels
the needed credentials:
· 4+ years of purchasing and planning in the commercial electro-mechanical manufacturing
· background in electronics or computer commodity management
· experience on MRP/ERP , scheduling logic, order policies and modifiers, input/output control, product structures and routings
· working knowledge of procurement, inventory management, demand management, and master scheduling
· travel 10%
Job location Milford Massachusetts
base salary 70-85K
