If so, read on . . . My client, an Internet and catalog retailer in Fairfield County is looking to hire an Information Technology Development Director who will be responsible for managing the development of new systems and IT projects. Specifically, he/she will:

Oversee all IT project management, as well as prepare and manage to a budget to ensure timely completion of projects and high quality system performance.
Manage three direct reports, including: hiring, firing, performance evaluations and staffing recommendations.
Work with the IT Operations Director to provide hand-offs of new systems, coordinate planning, tasks, technology and systems usage and serve as back-up to each other.
Work with E-commerce IT staff and marketing Analytic IT staff to manage and coordinate their efforts in IT projects.
Work with users to develop system specifications.
Remain current with information technology trends.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge of:

SQL, VB.net
Microsoft Office applications
General office procedures and skills

Physical Qualifications

Regular use of a telephone and PC.
Us of other office equipment (e.g., copier and fax machine).
