General Construction Estimator Needed in East Hartford, CT


My client, United Steel, has a Division, United Building Solution, which provides General Contracting, Budgeting, Estimating, Project Administration, Design-Build and Metal Building Construction.  They are looking to hire an experienced estimator (5+ years of General Construction estimating) who will be based in East Hartford, CT.  The company will assist with relocation.  Are you open to relocation?

Qualifications include:  High school diploma or GED diploma, or one (1) to twelve (12) months of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; experience with pre-engineered metal buildings highly desired; ability to read and understand construction drawings and the application of regional building codes; basic math skills and technical writing skills required; strong attention to detail; ability to multitask and manage time effectively; good oral and written skills; computer proficiency in: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe; excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all organizational levels as well as Customers and Vendors; able to deal with ambiguity and various changing requirements, while maintaining a professional attitude; strong sense of urgency and able to work through bid process; addressing customer needs and requests.
